A)General Descriptions :

MOTORWAY:
It is the highway that prohibited for pedestrians

TRANSIT WAYS: Parts of highways for enter or

CONNECTION WAY : It is the highway which is
connect the haighways and be out of crossing
roads
BANQUETTE:If there is no pedestrian ways in
highways side of roads is used by pedestrians and
animals. Except obligatory times vehicles must not
use this part of high ways.
PLATFORM : It is the part of high ways which
consist of vehicle roads and pedestrian roads.
CROSSING : Common field which occurs with the
connection or intersection of two or more highways
RIDE ROAD : In general this road is less
important than the road which is connected and have
less density of traffic.
MAIN ROAD : It is the highway that open the
main traffic and have the first passing rights which
is determined by signs.
SCHOOL PASSING : Field that have been near the
primary and secondary schools determined by signs
for students
C) Descriptions About Vehicles :
AUTO :
Motor engine which produced for people carrying
and have mostly 7 seats except driver.The ones which carry
people with taximeter is called taxi and ones
which take money for every people called shared
taxi
MINIBUS : Motor engine which produced for
people carrying and have seats between 8 and
14 except driver.
AUTOBUS : Motor engine which produced for
people carring and have minimun 15 seats
except driver Trolleybuses are also include this
group .
SMALL TRUCK: Motor engine which produced for
load carrying and permissible maximum load is
3500 kg
TRUCK : Motor engine which produced for
load carrying and permissible load is more
than 3500 kg
TOWING VEHICLE : Motor engine which do not
carry loadings and only pull trailers or semi
trailers.
LAND TRANSPORT : Motot engine which prodeced
for carriying passengers and loadings in high ways
and take power from motor.
LOADING GAUGE : It is the measurement that
determine the vehicles length width and height for
safety driving with loadings or not loadings. (Width:2,5 m ;
Height:4 m)
WEIGHT LIMIT : Maximal loaded weight oh
vehicles which carry with safety.
AXLE LOAD : The weight which carry on high ways
from the wheels connect to same axle.(One axle: 10 ton,two
axles 18 ton)
If traffic police is standing or open his arms to both side it is mean that front and back sides of him are closed to traffic right and left sides are opened.If police lift one hand all roads are closed.
1) Red Light: To inform that road is closed to
traffic.
2)Yellow Light: It has warning meaning. If it
is lightened with red light road is going to be open
the traffic and it is lightened with green light
road is going to be closed the traffic.
3) Red Light: To inform that road is opened to
traffic.
4) Interrupted lights:Red has stop meaning and
yellow has carefully passing meaning.
5) Written and audible lights : It orders the
pedestrian traffic according to vehicle traffic.
Straight
Lines : It inform that lanes can not be changed
or there are not any passings in two way highways
head over heels croosingroads,student ways tunnels
etc.
Broken Lines : It inform that if traffic
conditions is suitable drivers can pass the front
vehicle or changes the lanes
Straight
and Broken Lines: Drivres must obey the meanings
of the line which is closer to them
Nearer to straight lines means that must
not enter the opposite idrections lanes.NOTE: One
drivers must be drive 5hours continously and after
having rest for half an hour can be drive more
4hours. In 24 hours drive only 9hours in total.
In our country traffic flow is from right side.Drivers must obey the rules.
Drivers:
1- To drive the rightest side of the road
2- In multi lane road drive due to their speed
according to traffic conditions
3- To wait until the passing of other cars before
changed lanes.
4- Not to change lanes as put in danger or delay
the traffic
5- Not to use the leftest side of the lane
continuously
6- In two lane for lane or multi line roads derivers

and autobus use the rightest lane except in passing
and turning.
Also it is forbidden that ;
1- To change lanes except passing stooping ,turning
or parking
2- To use 2 lanes together
3- To drive wrong lanes according to their speed and
kind of vehicle
4- To change lanes get closer to crossroads , 30mt in
innercities and 150mt in and out of cities
5- To change lanes without signals.

Following Distance : Following distance is the
distance which is the half of speed. For example if
spees is 90km/h following distance is 45.
For drivers pay attention that:
1. Not to passed by another cars.
2. Not to give warning signals by the front car
for passing another vehicle
3. Passing lane must be opened and empty for
the pro distances.
J) PROHIBITED AREAS FOR PASSING
Drivers;
1. Areas where passing is prohibited with traffic
signs.
2. In bridges tunnels railway crossings head of
heels and curves etc.
In Right Turns must be

1. Give right turn signals
2. To enter the right lane or turning

3. Decrease speed

In Left Turns must be:

It is forbidden for drivers that :
1- To go back in connection roads.
2- In one way roads to go back except pause and
stopping times.
3- To go back in narrow ways except passing
facilities.
4- To turn back in roads which habe traffic
density.
First passing rights in crossings where do not have traffic police , lightened traffic signs or traffic roadpost ;
1- All cars must give passing rights to vehicles
which have passing primacies.
2- All cars must give passing rights to vehicles
which are in tramlines.
3- Vehicles which are going to be enter divided
roads

Drivers who come from ride road to main road.

Drivers who are out of turned crossroads to in the
crossroads.
K) RIGHT OF WAY BOUNDRY CROSSINGS :

NOTE: These vehicles must have lambs which can
be come out from 150 mt and also have sirens which
can be heard from 150 mt
NOTE: Yellow lighted vehicles do not have first
passing rights.
L) PLACES WHERE DO NOT PAUSED :
1- Areas where prohibition is indicated with traffic
signs.
2- In left lanes
3- In school and pedestrian roads and other crossings.
4- In crossroads tunnels and connection roads and
inner cities in 5mt , out of cities in 10 mt
distances
5- In head of heels and turning roads.
6- Next to paused or parking vehicles
7- In autobus and taxi stations.
8- To guide boards and except of parking places 15 mt
in inner cities and 100 mt distance in out of cities.
9- Railways which are out of cities and in the vehicle
tracks
Pausing is forbidden
M) PLACES WHERE DO NOT PARKING
NOTE: Parking is also forbidden places where is paused.
a) Far Lights :
Far lights must be opened in out of cities tunnels
which do not lightened enough ,and same palces and
conditions
b) Nearby Lights :
In nights , followings during out of cities and in
mornings in rainy or foggy weathers nearby
lightsmust be opened.
NOTE: Nearby lights are lightened to 25 m. , far lights are lightened 100 m. ahead.
Using Conditions of Lights :
1-Use in "pass" meanings
of turn lights
2- To drive only with parking lights
3- Turn out lights in meetings.
4- To have or use lights which are contrary to
statutes
5- Using of fog lights except foggy or rainy
weathers or use with far or nearby lights
6- To use lights needlessly which are alowed by
rules ARE FORBIDDEN

O) DRAW AWAY OF DAMAGED VEHICLES :
1- Draw away of vehicles which have no defective in brakes:
- Draw away with trail rope or pulling
iron
- Length of trail rope must be maximum 5 m
- If lenght of rope is more than 2,5m tie red
reflector.
- Speed must be 20km/h
2- Draw away of vehicles which have defective in brakes
- Draw away with iron .
- Lenght of iron must be maximum 1 m.
- Speed must be max. 15km/h
NOTE: In both conditions loading and passenger carring is forbidden
P) CARRYING OF HAZARDOUS MATERALS :
Speed limit for vehicles which carry hazardous materials is 30km for inner cities and 50 km for out of cities.(If vehicle is empty can drive their vehicle speed)
NOTE: Following distance should be 50mt
NOTE: There must be 2 unit fire extinguishing apparatus as 6kg in these vehicles.
NOTE: In defective times there must be watchman .
Access Controled Railway :
Railway that used fo transit traffic , no entry for pedestrians animals and non motored vehicles
Entry and exit from everywhere is forbidden to railways. Parking , pausing driving and turning back is forbidden
Vehicle owners must be register their vehicles and take registration certificates
1- Vehicle owners who buys or takes from duty must do registration in 3 months If vehicle have no registration before
2- Drivers who buys registrated cars with notarial deed must be apply in one month to registration office.
3- After taking registration certificate vehicles also must have traffic certificate and registration plates.
4- Vehicles do not get into traffic without registration card , traffic certificate and registration plates.
5- If registration time is passed for vehicles they must have temporary traffic card and traffic plate.
6- Registration plates must be clean and visible from 20 mt ahead.
7- Motor-car liability insurance must be done for any accidents
8- Motor Vehicle drivers must show traffic police during controls :
a)driving licence
b)registration card
c)traffic certificate
d)motor-car liability insurance and registration
plates
1. To pass in red lights and
do not obey traffic police stop warnings
2. Tread on other lane
3. To hit another vehicle from back
4. To drive coming lane.
5. Overtake improperly
6. Not to obey turning rules.
7. To park in intercity highways.
